Amigos,
I am leaving on Friday. May I suggest some sort of Thursday evening get-together? Discuss.

The Geeks go Adventuring! Update - Time changed to 1PM
So I confirmed our booking for Mont Rigaud - This Saturday August 20th at 1PM!
This isn't just ziplining, it is a tree top adventure course with all sorts of fun things to try, here are the details:
Mont Rigaud Aerobaranch
While there we have access to their bungie trampoline and climbing wall as well.
We can figure out the fine details this week but I can grab the Orleans people at around noon and we can head out, it is just over an hour away so we can do a highway pitstop for eats and get there shortly before 2PM. Oh and X you can just pay at the site, I have 5 listed, Artificial and I, Blades, Guppy and X. Vlad if you and twinkles want to try it lemme know and I will add to the numbers.

So my son is a big fan of Lego and Transformers right now and he astounded me with his latest creation. He loved Laserbeak in the new Transformers movie and decided to look up the original Transformer to see what it was like:
He was determined to make his own version, and out of Lego at that. I couldn't believe it as it took form, but he made one that transforms between the retro cassette version:
And a fully articulating Vulture version. The wings rotate, neck moves up and down, even the legs move. If I recall it is probably more movable then the original G1 Transformer!
He is also making a Soundwave, can't wait to see how that one goes!!

The End of an Era
Last night, Witchcraft and I packed up the last of my Star Wars toys* and carted them down to Giant Robot Comics in Darmouth. After months of kijiji, flea markets and yard sales all we had left was a STAP with Battle Droid, three vulture droids on a stand and a few Farscape figs still on card. The once oppressive and space-consuming collection spread out across the greater HRM. My personal favourite was the young austistic girl who left me with these words of wisdom I will never forget; "what would Jabba do?"
And just so you don't think we are completely selling out our Geek cred, we had gone in with the idea of getting some cash. .... but with store credit being worth more and a wall of Transformers figs, it wasn't long before something caught her eye ...

Her precious!
Meanwhile, I was exploring the second-hand figs shelf and caught site of a classic Ray Stanz and Winston Zeddemore! We now have a complete set!
*that I was willing to part with. I still have my favs!

The Geeks go Outside!
Plan 1 - Meet Downtown at 5PM and roam to a patio that looks good. It would be an adventure! Perhaps meet at the Beaver Tail stand and go from there?
Plan 2 - Pick a restaurant in Orleans (Royal Oak on St. Joseph or Moxies/Marios/Boston Pizza on Innes) and snack a patio spot there
Plan 3 - Come to my place an swim in my awesome pool, then we order in and watch a flick...I have some beer but more would be good...
Thoughts?
